Welcome to your slice of paradise on Fort Myers Beach! Blue Bayou is a spacious, two bedroom, two bath + loft vacation home, that is the left half of a duplex property, conveniently located mid-island on Fort Myers Beach, far enough away from the "hustle and bustle" of downtown, yet a quick ride down to enjoy the local flare of the island.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the peaceful lake in your backyard, surrounded by lush landscaping, palm trees, and tropical flowers, while being just a block away from one of the most beautiful beach accesses on the island. Enjoy the sunrise from the covered balcony/patio overlooking the lake. Even if you're not a birder, you won't be able to resist watching the pelicans, roseate spoonbills, osprey, and other wildlife soar. In the evening, grab the provided beach chairs and walk down the block to enjoy happy hour with your toes in the sand, and the spectacular sunsets of the Gulf coast.
Blue Bayou is the perfect vacation rental for couples, families. It sleeps eight, and has all the amenities and conveniences you need for a great stay. Enjoy the laughs and memories you’ll make hanging out on the magnificent lawn and playing bocce or cornhole (provided), or fire up the charcoal grill for hotdogs, hamburgers, and smores on the covered patio and there's also an electric grill for your enjoyment as well!
Inside, the open living and dining area has seating for everyone, and a pull-out sofa that turns into a queen sleeper for extra sleeping space. There’s a full Xfinity entertainment package with blazing fast Internet and WIFI so you can watch favorite shows or movies on the 55-inch flat screen TV (or a smaller screen in the loft with Chromecast for streaming/gaming). The open floor plan means everyone can socialize from the kitchen/bar counter, dining room, living room, loft or patio, and the whole gang can enjoy meals at the family-style dining table that opens to the patio for additional seating and al fresco dining.
There’s lots of natural light in the ensuite primary bedroom featuring a king bed and its own bathroom with a walk-in shower and a an additional 55" In smart TV. A comfortable queen bed outfits the second bedroom. The second full bath features a combination tub and shower. The upstairs loft has two couches for plenty of seating, as well as a full futon, and can double as an open bedroom, office, or place for the kids to stream entertainment and play games on a second TV. You’ll also find ceiling fans throughout to offer a nice breeze on balmy Southwest Florida days and nights.
There is ample covered parking for multiple cars. Fresh linens, bath and beach towels are provided, and a full-size washer and dryer means you can pack light. Beach chairs, beach cart and coolers are also provided, as are plenty of games, puzzles, and books. There’s an outside storage area where you can leave wet and sandy towels and flip flops.
If you’re looking for laid-back beach vibes in a beautiful home on a pristine property with serene lake views and a short stroll to the beach, get the flip flops out because Blue Bayou is waiting for you.
NOTE: Since this is the left side of the duplex, guests have access to the left-side of the yard in the back, on the lake, while the right side of the yard is reserved for the other side of the duplex.

Blue Bayou is on a quiet, mid-island street, giving you easy access to Bonita Springs to the south, and Margaritaville, Times Square, and Fort Myers to the north. It’s less than a mile from a Publix supermarket, restaurants/bars, a marina, fishing, and CVS, and just a quick bike or car ride to dozens of other bars, restaurants, ice cream, watersports, coffee/breakfast options, and so much more. Beach bike, moped, and golf cart rentals are also available for rent on the island.
The Bay Oaks Community recreational center is now open. Please call them for rates and directions. The outdoor Pickleball courts are free!
